Storytimes open up the world of books, music, culture, and play to babies, toddlers, families and young children. Did YOU know that nearly half of the children entering kindergarten lack the early reading skills needed for school success. Sandy Public Library has several free programs and services for children that enhance skills in reading, interactive play and early literacy development.

  • Meeting starts with members sharing challenges, successes, or goals (if they want).

Parents and caregivers are invited to join and meet others with young children, make new friends, share and exchange information about parenting, learn about community resources, and have fun with other activities for you and your child. Playgroup is a parent/child interactive opportunity in a relaxed, large indoor-park setting offering playtime and semi-structured activities. Light snack provided. Park is staffed by volunteers and help is always needed to set-up and put away toys and activities.

Anime is a diverse art form with distinctive production methods and techniques that have been adapted over time in response to emergent technologies. It consists of an ideal story-telling mechanism, combining graphic art, characterization, cinematography, and other forms of imaginative and individualistic techniques. The production of anime focuses less on the animation of movement and more on the realism of settings as well as the use of camera effects, including panning, zooming, and angle shots.

Sandy Public Library has several free programs and services for children that enhance skills in reading, interactive play and early literacy development.

With dignity and friendship being our greatest goal beyond the economic relief, we always offer coffee, a hot home-cooked meal, and coloring sheets for the kiddos.
