Living Way Foursquare Church has 6 Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) meetings each week. There are a total of 11 Sandy AA meetings and 0 meetings within 25 miles of Sandy, Oregon. In addition, there are Sandy treatment centers within 25 miles of Sandy and Oregon drug and alcohol treatment centers.

Historical Society Quarterly Meeting @ Sandy Historical Museum

Gary Coats has put together a nice display and will make a presentation about the history of the Bull Run Hydroelectric project. If you have any questions, call me. 503-706-1665. Finished in 1912, the powerhouse was the heart of Portland General Electric’s Bull Run Hydroelectric Project. A system of two dams, canals and a wooden flume created Roslyn Lake, which then funneled water down huge tubes to spin the turbines below. The Mount Hood Railway and Power Co. started construction in 1906.

Living Way Foursquare Church has 6 Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) meetings each week. There are a total of 11 Sandy AA meetings and 0 meetings within 25 miles of Sandy, Oregon. In addition, there are Sandy treatment centers within 25 miles of Sandy and Oregon drug and alcohol treatment centers.

AntFarm Family Support Meeting @ Ant Farm

Although open to all families, the meeting will not include public officials such as DHS or police. The intent is to create a safe place where discussions can occur without fear of consequence. We will offer a family oriented craft class at the same time so that there is the opportunity for childcare during the meeting.

When: First and Third Wednesday evenings beginning January 17th of 2018, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Facilitation: Nunpa, the Executive Director will be at every meeting. He has over 30 years of experience working in the system with mental health, addictions, run-away youth, truancy, and school problems. He has knowledge of supports in the community as well as opportunities for youth to help support and change negative situations.

Childcare Support During Meetings: AntFarm volunteers will support children in providing an activity or craft project in another room while the parents, grandparents, and guardians meet.

Storytimes open up the world of books, music, culture, and play to babies, toddlers, families and young children. Did YOU know that nearly half of the children entering kindergarten lack the early reading skills needed for school success. Sandy Public Library has several free programs and services for children that enhance skills in reading, interactive play and early literacy development.
