Lee Lauritzen will be the featured artist at the 6th annual Winter Artisan Show held in historic City Hall in Estacada. Lauritzen, a well-known wildlife artist, will display his work and give painting demonstrations during the show. His realistic style captures the essence of nature’s beauty.
The Winter Artisan Show will be held Friday night and Saturday, Dec. 2 and 3. The Friday night from 5-8 p.m. will include holiday choral music by the Troubadors and wine tasting.
Saturday hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and will include wine tasting by Buddha Kat Winery of Sandy and art demonstrations at several of the booths.
The juried show, now in its sixth year, features the art and fine crafts of artisans from the Estacada and Eagle Creek areas, plus neighboring communities.
Lauritzen, the featured artist, is from Gresham. He is well-known for the variety and technical excellence of his works including the mural he painted in the Sandy Transit Center on the back of the Mountain Moka/Pet Resort building in downtown Sandy. It was completed four years ago.
Admission to the Winter Artisan Show is free. On Friday night, the art show and sale coincides with the Estacada Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:45 p.m. and the First Friday events in Broadway Street businesses.
The Winter Artisan Show is presented by Weston GMC KIA in association with the Estacada Development Association.
