Leach Botanical Gardens logoChildren of all ages will love this free event. Learn about seeds of all kinds, including those that disperse by “traveling.” Which ones fly? Which ones catch a ride? What role do we play in helping them get where they need to go?  Also have fun meeting Audubon’s Education Birds, go on a scavenger hunt or nature walk, enjoy face painting, crafts, music, and the traditional slug races. Top it off with a 25 cent ice cream cone.  Donations welcome. Thanks to our sponsor, Pacific NW Federal Credit Union, and partners, Audubon Society of Portland, Brookside Farm & Gardens, Friends of Johnson Ck, Friends of Outdoor School, Portland Parks & Rec. Environ. Ed, and Zenger Farm.
