May 17- June 2nd “Agnes of God” a drama.
The story is centered on a young nun, Agnes, who is being evaluated by a psychiatrist after a mysterious death occurred at the convent. The young nun is fiercely protected by Mother Superior Miriam Ruth, who is fighting medical science and the courts to save the soul of her charge. At the same time, Dr. Martha Livingstone is trying to heal the trauma and torture that Agnes is battling within her own mind.
Part contemporary drama, part murder mystery, this play looks at science, faith, love, and belief. This play was a multiple-award winning drama that appeared on Broadway and was made into a film starring Anne Bancroft and Jane Fonda.
PG 13 for subject matter.
