Image result for permaculture communitiesLearn basic principles and strategies for living off the land. There are three strategies: making earth bricks, filtering water, and making compost. With these three skills, you can build a home, find and clean water and grow food. In this program, we’ll talk about these and other strategies you can apply to your home and garden to create abundant landscapes.

Our presenter this evening, Brian Newhouse, has lived and worked with sustainable land projects and permaculture communities around the world. He has built earthen structures, water filters, hydroponics systems, composting toilet systems, and ponds. In his book, Permaville Handbook: Strategies for Living off the Land, he outlines dozens of strategies you can apply to your backyard.

Mr. Newhouse also created an online course Sustainable Living Made Easy: Basics of Permaculture Design. See more information at www.permaville.com.

This program is part of our Mind~Body~Spirit; creating a vibrant adult life series. It is supported by the Friends of the Sandy Library.
