Our film this month is THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY OF THE BUTTERFLIES.

Assignment: Fly 2,000 miles over land you have never seen (that was last traversed by your great-grandparents) with no GPS or maps! Vacation there for a few months, and then fly home–or at least until you find milkweed, mate, lay eggs and die. Repeat!

The life of the Monarch butterfly will amaze you! Every year monarch butterflies migrate across North America to a remote area of Mexico. This presentation discusses how the butterflies navigate and endure the long journey and take you to the locations they call home.

This documentary film series will run once per month for 4 months, on the 3rd Friday of each month. Our host, Kris LaMar, OSU Master Gardner, will present the documentaries and facilitate a discussion following.
