Learn how to create wildlife-friendly spaces in your own yard or community area by incorporating native plants and wildlife habitat components; attracting beneficial insects and pollinators; utilizing naturescaping design tips; and gaining recognition for sustainable gardening practices through local certification programs. Indoor and outdoor activities involved, dress for the weather! Morning refreshments will be provided.

Class instructors are from the following local and regional organizations: Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District; Clackamas River Basin Council; National Wildlife Federation & Association of Northwest Steelheaders; Audubon Society of Portland, and Columbia Land Trust.

This class is FREE for Shade Our Streams Landowners! Simply email suzi@clackamasriver.org to express your interest.

For non-Shade Our Streams landowners, there is a small class fee of $20. From the Clackamas Community College homepage go to Academic > Courses + Registration > Skills Development + Training > Workshops. Next use cougartrax to register (hyperlinked). Then, click on the green continuing education box. Click “Search for Classes/Workshops.” Enter Course Code “XELC-0004-01” into course code lookup box. Select the class and hit submit. Complete your registration (requires credit/debit card payment).
