From Morning Snack to Lunch to after school snacks, we are staying very busy preparing the freshest, most delicious, local and organic homemade school fare in town. Volunteers are needed weekdays to help us prepare healthy options for our students. Please consider coming in to lend a hand. Commit for a week, a month or more. For 2 hours, a half-day or a whole day. For a certain day of the week for the rest of the year……We are very flexible and want to help you make it work in your schedule. We are so happy to partner with lots of local farmers, bakeries and distributors. Our meat comes from sustainable NW farms – Draper Valley Chicken, Organic Grass-Fed Beef from Prineville, all varieties of Pork from Nature’s Old Time Meats. Most of our bread products are coming from Grand Central Bakery, New Cascadia Bakery and Liberated Baking. We have approximately 5 farmers that we are receiving fresh deliveries weekly of the best local produce.
We are proud to be able to offer nutritional offerings for those children and staff with dietary restrictions or sensitivities.
Farm to School, good nutrition, local businesses are all aspects of our program – so supporting us in the way of volunteering supports those things too!
